With vicious vibes Gavana (Anna Gavanas) is launching a dancefloor explosion. On this EP she combines the transgressive forces of dancehall with influences from complex electro and techno.

Inspired by Warrior Queen, MIA, The Bug and Major Lazer, Gavana comes from a club DJ background. With a penchant for modern dub and dancehall Gavana's music is fierce and dancefloor oriented.

*Release of the next Gavana EP, "Culture Vulture," on May 30, 2013.*

Gavana has been making music since 2008 and released five EPs on the Swedish label Meerkat Recordings. Gavana's fifth EP Greek Dub follows up on her previous EPs Greek Acid, Malaga Nights, Culture Vulture and Vicious Vibrations. The track El Andaluz from Malaga Nights became a hit in Colombia (!) and the EP was listed as ”hot pick” by Sattelite Records in New York. ... more
